His career began with 18 years at housebuilding giant Taylor Wimpey. Most recently, he was divisional land director for the North of England at McCarthy Stone, a retirement specialist.

He will be responsible for growing Gleeson’s land pipeline in support of its target to reach 3,000 completions a year in the medium term.

Gareth Roberts, regional managing director, said Owen’s “wealth of experience” in the region aligned with its growth plans.

“Gareth’s insights and leadership will be invaluable as we continue to develop our presence in this region, delivering highly affordable, quality homes across Greater Manchester and Merseyside,” he said.
