Gareth Owens will be responsible for land pipeline in Greater Manchester and Merseyside
Gleeson has appointed a new land director for its Greater Manchester and Merseyside region.
Gareth Owens has more than 30 years of experience in the housebuilding sector, more than 20 of which were spent in director-level roles.
His career began with 18 years at housebuilding giant Taylor Wimpey. Most recently, he was divisional land director for the North of England at McCarthy Stone, a retirement specialist.
He will be responsible for growing Gleeson’s land pipeline in support of its target to reach 3,000 completions a year in the medium term.
Gareth Roberts, regional managing director, said Owen’s “wealth of experience” in the region aligned with its growth plans.
“Gareth’s insights and leadership will be invaluable as we continue to develop our presence in this region, delivering highly affordable, quality homes across Greater Manchester and Merseyside,” he said.
Gareth Owen said he was pleased to join Gleeson, which he described as “a company with a legacy of transforming communities through high-quality homes that are affordable to everyone”.
