Contractor’s partnerships arm to build homes in Redcar, Runcorn, Cannock and Blandford Forum
Galliford Try’s Partnerships arm has signed a deal with Homes England to build more than 850 homes across the UK.
The housebuilder will deliver 360 homes in Redcar, north Yorkshire, 330 homes in Sandymoor, Runcorn, including a 100 home extra-care development, 116 homes in Cannock, Staffordshire, and 60 homes in Blandford Forum, Dorset.
The schemes will deliver a mixture of housing tenures including open market housing, affordable rent, shared ownership, private rented sector and an extra-care development.
The gross development value of the contract is £161m.
Work will begin on the sites immediately, with the first planning applications due to be submitted this month. The first homes are due to be completed in spring 2020.
Galliford Try Partnership is working with a range of long-term partners, including local authorities and registered housing providers, on 70 regeneration and development schemes across England.
Projects include: the Clockworks, Manchester, delivering 105 apartments in partnership with Manchester city council and One Manchester; Brunel Street Works, London, where 975 apartments are being built in a joint venture with housing association Metropolitan Thames Valley, and 210 homes at Hall Green, Birmingham, being built in partnership with WM Housing on the site of a former greyhound racing stadium.
