Stephen Teagle, chief executive of Galliford Try Partnerships, has been named chair of the Housing Forum, which represents 150 firms from across a number of sectors involved in the housing supply chain.

Currently a member of the forum’s executive board and previously its deputy chair, Teagle takes over from Andy von Bradsky, who earlier this year was appointed by the government to be the MHCLG’s head of architecture.

Teagle (pictured) said of his appointment: “It is a privilege to be able to represent the membership and to build on the great work of the forum.

“Improving the quality and number of homes delivered is our shared ambition and we will continue to argue strongly for policies which future-proof the supply of new homes.”

Earlier this month Galliford Try Partnerships signed a deal with Homes England, the government’s home delivery agency, to build more than 850 homes across the UK.

The housebuilder is set to deliver 360 homes in Redcar, North Yorkshire, 330 homes in Sandymoor, Runcorn, including a 100 home extra-care development, 116 homes in Cannock, Staffordshire and 60 homes in Blandford Forum, Dorset.
