Scheme at Nine Elms will be built next door to US embassy
Galliard Homes has been given planning for a 262-home mixed-use scheme on the site of a former Royal Mail sorting office at Nine Elms Parkside in Wandsworth, south London.
Designed by Farringdon practice Fourfoursixsix, the project is made up of three buildings ranging from 11 to 13 storeys in height, running across a total of 280,000ft².
The blocks will be built on the 0.9-acre plot between the new US embassy and the redeveloped Battersea Power Station.
Earlier this year Royal Mail has sold nearly an acre of its 14-acre site at Nine Elms Park in south London to Galliard Homes for £22.2m. Eight acres of the total area are capable of being developed.
Others working on the Galliard scheme include structural engineer Walsh Associates, M&E engineer Ridge and infrastructure consultant Waterman.
The wider Nine Elms Parkside has been masterplanned by Allies and Morrison with Gleeds as QS and M3 Consulting development manager.
