Face masks to be retained on sites after restrictions ease

New official site operating procedures say face coverings should still be worn in enclosed areas

The Construction Leadership Council has urged construction firms to continue wearing face masks after covid-19 restrictions are relaxed on 19 July.

The group of industry leaders called on employers to make face coverings available on sites and to tell staff that “it is expected and recommended that they should be worn” in enclosed areas like meeting rooms and welfare facilities.
