John Fitzgerald to lead firm’s South London region
Former Telford Homes managing director John Fitzgerald is set to join Vistry Group as its interim managing director for the South London region.
Fitzgerald, who was group managing director at the London developer for more than 20 years, will join his new employer on 8 April.
He will head up the company’s Stratford-based operations where he will be overseeing a sizeable portfolio of mixed-tenure schemes being delivered in collaboration with Vistry’s long-established local authority and housing association partners.
Vistry’s South London region, which typically operates through the Countryside Partnerships brand, is currently working on nine live projects, which will together deliver over 3,000 homes.
Last week, Vistry reported increased profit and revenue on the back of its strategy pivot last year towards a partnerships-focused business model
Fitzgerald will carry out the role until at least January 2025, when a permanent appointment is expected to be announced.

“The opportunity to head up Vistry’s South London region was too good to miss and I am delighted to be returning to the housebuilding sector to lead a business unit with such an impressive partnerships portfolio at a time when the London market is on the up,” said Fitzgerald.
“I am keen to hit the ground running and continue Vistry’s track record of delivering much-needed affordable homes for the communities of South London.”
