Countryside appoints northern partnerships boss

Countryside has appointed ex-Wates and United Living executive Jo Jamieson as chief executive of its partnerships north division.

Before joining the £1bn turnover housebuilder, Jamieson (pictured, right) was MD of new homes and property services at United Living. Her brief at Countryside is to deliver flagship projects such as the £333m North Leigh Park development in Wigan, and expand its northern operation.

Iain McPherson, group chief executive at Countryside, said Jamieson will lead the firm’s expansion across the north of England. “Jo brings with her a wealth of valuable experience and I look forward to working closely with her and the rest of her senior leadership team,” he said.

Jamieson said she was thrilled to be joining the firm. “Residential development is a crucial part of the Northern Powerhouse vision and I certainly look forward to being part of it,” she said.
