Housing association’s development operation is working with Essex-based housebuilder
Latimer, Clarion Housing’s development business, has teamed up with housebuilder Hill to deliver more homes near Cambridge.
The £55m scheme will see 155 homes built in the village of Hardwick, six miles from the city centre.
Hill and Latimer have bought land in the village which will host a range of one, two and three-bedroom homes, 62 (40%) of which will be affordable – 43 shared ownership and 19 for affordable rent. The balance of 93 homes will be sold privately.
Hill is expected to start building work in the last three months of this year, subject to planning.
Latimer is also awaiting a planning decision on a £70m build-for-sale scheme at the heart of the MediaCityUK project in Salford. Proposals for the Sheppard Robson-designed, 280-home scheme went in for planning last November.
