Developed by Canary Wharf Group, 10 George Street (pictured, right) will be operated by Vertus, the firm’s residential leasing arm. It said the scheme was the first build-to-rent development on the privately-owned Canary Wharf estate.

The block designed by Grid Architects contains 327 flats (pictured, below), ranging from studios to three-bedroom apartments. It also features a concierge service, lounge area, private event space, a garden terrace and a gym for residents.

The Wood Wharf district is expected to provide up to 3,600 new homes, two million ft² of office space, 350,000 ft² of retail, plus a doctor’s surgery and primary school with places for 420 youngsters.

Vertus also plans to roll out two other rental schemes in Canary Wharf this year. Its Water Street development will feature 174 flats and be available this spring, while the Newfoundland building, on the western edge of Canary Wharf, will contain 636 flats throughout its 58 floors.

Canary Wharf Group is jointly owned by Canada-based Brookfield Property Partners and the Qatar Investment Authority.
