Hundreds of homes set to be developed on Sweet Street site
Hundreds of Build to Rent and private sale homes set are set to be built on land formerly owned by Burberry in Leeds.
Platform confirmed that it has completed the acquisition of the eight-acre site from a subsidiary of the fashion brand.
The developer is planning to build a mix of homes for Build to Rent and private sale on the Burberry Campus site, as well as office space.
It has not announced how many homes it expects to deliver on the site ahead of consultations with stakeholders and the drawing up of a planning application, but it is understood the scheme will deliver hundreds of homes.
The site has a lapsed planning consent for 935,000 square feet of residential-led, mixed use development.
“We will be engaging in a programme of consultation with local stakeholders and the wider community prior to submitting a formal planning application over the coming months,” said Matt Willcock, development director at PLATFORM_
