Jeff Halliwell to take on role for 19,500-home association in September
BPHA has appointed Jeff Halliwell as its new chair.
The 19,500-home, Bedford-based housing association announced Halliwell will work alongside current chair Paul Leinster in a handover period from next month before taking on the role fully on 1 September.
Halliwell has chaired or served on the board of numerous public, private and third sector organisations.
He is currently chair of the Coal Authority (which supports people and the environbemnt in former mining areas), deputy chair of seafood industry body Seafish and a board member of educational software firm Widgit.
He has previously chaired NHS and transport sector organisations and been a governor at the Universities of Bedfordshire and Northampton.

Halliwell has also carried out executive roles at Northern Foods and for petfood firm Mars.
