Strawberry Star’s incoming development director will lead on the £1bn expansion of the group’s built-to-rent platform, Star Living.
Property developer and operator Strawberry Star Group has appointed Bloor Homes director Simon Taylor.
Taylor will become the development director for property developer Strawberry Star Group, which recently announced the launch of its build-to-rent platform, Star Living.
Taylor was previously design and technical director at Bloor Homes and before that technical director and operations director at Redrow. Taylor will lead on new developments and drive the expansion of Star Living, which is aiming to builld a portfolio of BTR homes within London commuter towns worth £1bn in gross development value by 2027.
The group’s incoming director said: “Strawberry Star has a reputation of nurturing entrepreneurial spirit which really speaks to my strengths.
“The scope of the role is exciting, growing a boutique product in the market that’s a more niche offering than what competitors are currently providing.”
Taylor has more than 21 years’ specialist technical training, having also worked for developers including Barratt and Berkeley. He will be reporting to chief executive Steven Beveridge.
Strawberry Star, which has offices in London and Singaore, has more than 2,000 units planned or under construction.
