Housebuilder to deliver 82 homes on Kingsgrove community development

St Modwen and landowner Crabhill Developments have sold a parcel of land on the 1,500-home development site at Kingsgrove, Wantage, to housebuilder Bellway for £8.7m.

The deal means the third residential phase of the on the 227-acre site being masterdeveloped by St Modwen can begin.

Bellway will build 82 homes on the site, which is known as Greensands.

Infrastructure for the services and access roads for the site are under way and Bellway is due to start work this month.

The first two phases of the new community, totalling over 350 homes, are being developed by St Modwen Homes and Cala Homes. St Modwen Homes, which is St Modwen’s housebuilding business, started on site in 2018 on the first part of phase 1 with home owners moving into their properties in November last year.

The second phase is being developed by Cala Homes which started on site in April this year.
