Shane Doherty will join £3.4bn-turnover housebuilder in December

Bellway has appointed Shane Doherty as its new chief financial officer.

The £3.4bn-turnover housebuilder announced that Doherty will join the company in December, leaving his current role as chief financial officer at Dublin-based housebuilder Cairn Homes.

Doherty has also held senior finance roles at recruiter Morgan McKinley and sports betting firm Flutter Entertainment.

Bellway’s current group finance director Keith Adey will step down from his role on 1 December but will remain on the board and an executive director until 21 March next year.

According to a trading update for the year ended 31 July, the housebuilder completed 7,654 homes in the period, down 30% from 10,945 in 2023 but ahead of the 7,500 guidance it had previously put out.
