Barratt David Wilson North Thames has promoted Karly Williams to operations director and Marc Woolfe to head of sales.

Williams was the sales and marketing director at the housebuilder’s Watford-based division, which operates across the homes counties including Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. Woolfe was the senior sales manager at Barratt David Wilson North Thames.

As operations director, Williams will focus on areas including land, planning, technical and commercial. Much of her 20 year careeer has been within Barratt after joining in a customer service role. She was promoted to manager within three months then did a business degree to specialise in sales.

Williams became sales and marketing director in 2014 and during eight years in that role she has worked on dozens of schemes in the capital and across the South East.

”The property cycle over the past two years has been remarkable, and I have gained valuable experience in a variety of sales environments; from tackling international sales and navigating the prime London market during a less buoyant period, to overcoming site-specific challenges in order to consistently hit and exceed sales targets,” Williams said.

She said doing Barratt’s Catalyst training, the firm’s self-development course for women, in 2019 was a “turning point” for her career.
