Developer is looking to put homes in its schemes in Old Kent Road and Wembley.
Investor-developer Avanton is planning to build 800 build-to-rent units between sites in Old Kent Road and Wembley in London.
A:Living, Avanton’s build-to-rent brand, has said it will build 700 homes through the £730m Ruby Triangle project in the Old Kent Road in Southwark. It is also planning 100 units through its £250m Stonebridge Place development in Wembley.
Omer Weinberger, chief executive of Avanton, said: “London’s Build to Rent sector is rapidly growing in size, quality and product range and last year Avanton announced a three-year expansion into this sector, seeking land and strategic opportunities to deliver high-quality purpose-built stock to meet the market demand.”
This 800-home announcement comes after A:Living said it has let out 20 flats across the 2nd to 20th floors of its Coda development in Battersea.
David Ronson, sales and marketing director of Avanton, said: “The success of this pilot scheme demonstrates the significant demand for the offering at Coda.”
Avanton has several built-to-rent projects in the pipeline alongside a £500 million fund for strategic land acquisitions.
