Work on £20m scheme set to begin in winter
Avant Homes has been given approval to build 79 homes in Leicestershire.
The housebuilder’s East Midlands business will deliver the £20m multi-tenure development on a site near Hinckley.
Known as Chestnut Acres and located off Lychgate Lane in Burbage, the scheme will comprise a mix of two-, three-, and four-bedroom homes and will feature 11 of Avant’s energy-efficient home types.
Work is set to begin over the winter, with the first residents expected to move in Autumn 2025.
The business has committed to community contributions of around £900,000 towards the provision of local services, education and healthcare.

Avant Homes East Midlands’ managing director, Ben Felton, said: “As a business we are committed to providing quality new homes for everyone in popular locations.
“We know there is demand for housing in Burbage from people living locally or looking to move to the area in part because of the easy access to local amenities.
“We look forward to starting work on Chestnut Acres, to build a thriving community and provide a range of practically designed, energy efficient new homes for those that need them.”
