Jordan Lister will oversee Aster’s plan to expand its portfolio
Aster Group has appointed Jordan Lister as director of growth and strategic information to expand the housing association’s sector partnerships and its portfolio.
Lister joins from Phillip Callan Associates. He has provided strategic consultancy to some of the biggest names in the sector and brings more than 15 years of industry experience to the role.
Lister will support chief strategy officer Dawn Fowler-Stevens in overseeing the implementation of Aster’s growth strategy, through which the £224m-turnover group wants to forge stronger sector partnerships allowing it to expand its portfolio of more than 34,500 homes.
Fowler-Stevens said: “When it comes to growth, we’re focused on additionality. The partnerships we form are not about numbers, they are driven by us striving to make a positive difference to our communities. Ultimately, we want to help as many people as we can to access affordable homes and unlocking the potential for further growth within the business allows us to do more of this.”
She suggested the primary focus for housing associations should be “how can we better invest?”, adding Lister had a “strong track record of delivering results for some of the sector’s biggest names”.
Aster has completed mergers with East Borough Housing Trust and London-based care provider Central and Cecil Housing Trust since 2019. The latter joined at the start of this year.
