Julia Mixter will join the older people’s specialist housing and care provider in May
Julia Mixter has been appointed as the executive director of business services at Anchor, England’s largest not-for-profit provider of older people’s housing and care.
She will replace Kate Smith, who has left Anchor after five years to take up the role of chief executive at Shropshire and Herefordshire-based housing association, Connexus.
Mixter has served as the director of transformation at Raven Housing Trust for over five years and will commence her role at Anchor on 13 May.
In her former role, Mixter led a business transformation programme to improve services to customers, drive value for money and reduce operational risk and waste.

Mixter also served as director of people and operations, at The Children’s Trust, Tadworth and as senior HR business partner at Transport for London.
Anchor chief executive, Sarah Jones, said: “It’s a huge pleasure to welcome Julia to the organisation. Her experience will be invaluable as we support colleagues to provide more and better homes where people can love living in later life.”
Mixter said: “I am delighted to be joining Anchor and very much looking forward to bringing my experience from within the housing sector and in previous roles to the world of older people’s housing and care.”
