Housing association to build more than 400 rooms in Oxford
A2Dominion is to build 431 rooms for staff at the Churchill and John Radcliffe hospitals in Oxford.
Plans for the developments have been submitted following consultation exercises last autumn, where staff and members of the public were invited to see the proposals and discuss plans for the new flats with project managers.
A2Dominion said that once planning had been granted it would take four years to complete the buildings.
The housing association has been working with the local health trust Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for some time, providing staff accommodation at both Churchill and John Radcliffe hospitals.
Jim Smith, A2Dominion’s development manager, said the opportunity to provide additional key worker accommodation on both hospital sites “reflects our social housing roots and commitment to the Oxford community.
A member of the G15 group of housing providers in London, A2Dominion owns and manages 37,000 across the capital and southern England.
It currently has nearly 8,000 homes in the pipeline.
