Housing association brings tenant to panel after helping her set up a haircare business
A2Dominion has appointed Coretta Scott its first resident member of its group board.
The position was created to “help ensure our customers’ voices and views are heard and understood at the highest level within the organisation”, said Ian Wardle, chief executive of the 38,000-home landlord.
Scott is an asset project manager at London-based housing association Notting Hill Genesis and has worked in various roles within customer, neighbourhood and housing services.
She is also the founder and director of Lena Maye Limited, a business that creates luxury haircare products, for which she was supported by A2Dominion’s enterprise programme in 2017 and earned an entrepreneur award in 2018.
She has been a member of A2Dominion’s customer service committee since 2022 and has been involved in residents’ groups since 2012.

Scott said: “I’m excited and honoured to become A2Dominion’s first resident board member. Having a seat at the table where decisions are made ensures some representation and enables residents’ views and voices to be heard and understood. I look forward to working with the board and the customer service committee to support A2Dominion with helping residents receive the services they need and deserve.”
She has previously volunteered with Shepherds Bush Housing as a peer supporter.
The announcement follows the news that Midlands-based housing association Orbit Group appointed two residents to its group board last month.
