A2 Dominion is to build nearly 200 homes in Hounslow, south west London, with nearly half being available for affordable rent.
The housing association has appointed contractor Higgins the build the development on the site of a former supermarket. Construction is expected to begin within weeks.
The development will feature 176 homes, 83 of which will be available for affordable rent, with the remaining units being sold via shared ownership.
The homes, designed by Colwyn Foulkes, will be in three blocks ranging up to seven storeys in height.
The scheme will feature a new 743m² food store, plus a total of 863m² of child play space across the development as required by the London Plan SPG ‘Shaping Neighbourhoods: Play and Recreation’.
Of this, 430m² is to be set aside for under-fives’s, which will include a landscaped space with play features for young children.
