Decision to be made in coming months
Proposals for a new 1,200-home neighbourhood on the eastern edge of Leicester have gone in for planning.
Family-owned firm Parker Strategic Land is set to redevelop land that is currently being used by Scraptoft Golf Club, which will move to a new site a few miles away.
The plans have been lodged with Harborough council’s planning committee.
Proposals include a new retail offeing, healthcare and community facilities and accommodation.
The redevelopment will also include a two-form entry primary school, a children’s day nursery and sport and recreational facilities, including parks and play areas.
A decision is expected to be made on the scheme in the coming months.
