Local authority publishes update on plan to improve after finding 16 regulatory failings

A north-east local authority is planning to visit residents in every one of its 26,000 homes as part of its plan to improve services in the wake of multiple regulatory failings.

Newcastle City Council in October said it is likely to become the latest local authority to receive a low ‘C3’ grading against new consumer standards after finding 16 “material gaps” against regulatory standards.
