MPs call for shake-up of funding and support to tackle ‘rough sleeping emergency’

A cross-party committee of MPs has called on the government to act following a surge in the numbers of people sleeping rough.
The Housing, Communities and Local Government committee has concluded its short inquiry into rough sleeping and made several recommendations to ministers including around funding streams, support, guidance to councils and data.
