Mixed response to 4,000-home Earl’s Court plan

Councillors, residents and local organisations have expressed concern about the huge scheme but 135 letters also received from those in favour

Around 400 letters objecting to a £10bn plan to deliver 4,000 new homes in Earl’s Court have been submitted to Kensington and Chelsea  and Hammersmith and Fulham Councils.

In September 2024, Earl’s Court Development Company (ECDC) lodged a hybrid planning application to transform the former site of the Earls Court Exhibition Centre which was demolished a decade ago. The triangular 40-acre plot is the capital’s largest cleared Zone 1 development site.
