This is an exciting opportunity to join the Housing Options service in Bristol at a time of positive change.
We are re-designing and investing in our service to:
• Increase our success in preventing homelessness.
• End our use of hotels and shared temporary accommodation for families.
• Improve move on from Temporary Accommodation.
• Reduce our use of and spend on Temporary Accommodation.
The cost of Temporary Accommodation is a significant financial challenge for the Council.
This new role creates additional leadership capacity in these critical areas and is key to achieving our ambitions.
You will provide effective leadership to ensure that high quality services are delivered to meet the needs of clients relating to:
• An effective and efficient in-house Temporary Accommodation and Supported Housing service
• Effective management of Temporary Accommodation contracts, placements, and income recovery.
• Effective utilisation of supported housing pathways
• Clients are supported to move on from Temporary Accommodation in a timely manner.
