From affordable housing development, to new building safety legislation, tenant engagement and the pros and cons of mergers, attendees at TAI 2025 in Wales this week heard vigorous debates on many topics. Alex Funk rounds up the key takeaways

What does Mike Tyson have in common with the Welsh social housing sector? Not much, apart from the fact that the heavyweight boxing champion once stayed at the Vale Resort in Hensol where the Chartered Institute of Housing’s TAI 2025 conference was held earlier this week. At least this is what the taxi driver told Housing Today’s reporter as they drove past the hotel’s 18-hole golf course.

Blue skies welcomed housing professionals, government officials and residents to Wales on Wednesday and Thursday this week, where the topics on the table included everything from upcoming legislative changes to breaking the glass ceiling.
