Delegates at a Building Garden Communities conference at the RIBA last week heard from five expert panels on how to make a garden community successful. Below are the top five take-aways Housing Today has picked out from the day
Last year the government announced it was making £15m available for garden communities to deliver up to 16,000 homes a year from 2025; to “breathe life” into 43 towns and villages as well as “putting green, wildlife friendly spaces at the heart of new development”.
The investment brings total funding for the garden communities programme to more than £69m.
