Nichola Burns tells us about the importance of being genuine, the need for more planning resources and her love of spaghetti bolognese
Why did you choose housing as a career?
Working for a housebuilder was not the original plan. Throughout my education I had planned to become an illustrator or graphic designer, I even applied to university to study fine art and had secured a place. However, after completing my A-Levels I started to have doubts about this career path. I decided I would take a year out and pursue something else to be sure. Through my A-Levels I had been fortunate enough to study Renaissance Art and Architecture on a trip to Tuscany and had also completed a course in AutoCAD.
