As she announces her plan to stand down, Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing’s chief executive reflects on her 35 years in the housing industry and what she thinks the future holds for the sector
The social housing sector was shocked this week when one of its biggest names and most recognisable leaders announced she was standing down from her chief executive role.
After 16 years as boss at Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing (if you include her time at predecessor organisation Thames Valley Housing), this week, Geeta Nanda announced she will be stepping down in the autumn, to focus on caring for her mother.
We grab 10 minutes with the former G15 chair, during which she reflected on her housing career, where her journey began, housing’s entrepreneurial spirit, and how no matter the ups and downs, the sector comes out the other side.
