House prices up 4.7% on the year in December

Stamp duty changes expected to lead to a jump in transaction at start of 2025

UK house prices were up 4.7% annually in the final month of 2024, according to Nationwide.

The growth meant that the average price of a home at the end of the year stood at £269,426.
