‘Greener Homes Alliance 2’ will see SME housebuilders benefit from low interest rates in return for meeting energy efficiency criteria

Homes England and investor Octopus Real Estate have announced a fresh £150m round of funding to provide SME housebuilder with finance to build energy-efficient homes.

The Greener Homes Alliance 2 will commit £150 million of funding, £42 million of which will be provided by Homes England. Under the scheme, housebuilders will must meet energy efficiency criteria in order to benefit from low interest rates.
