London housing association group calls for ‘proportionality’ given other regulatory demands, while the Chartered Institute of Housing raises concern about impact on smaller landlords
The G15 has called for social landlords to be given time to adapt to proposed new regulations which would require landlords to provide information to tenants on request.
The Ministry of Housing Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) has recently concluded a public consultation on new Social Tenant Access to Information Requirements (STAIRS). Providers would also have to make tenants aware of the publication scheme and review and update the information it makes available on a regular basis.
