With support, community-led housing models can help provide housing in rural or coastal hotspots affected by second homes and holiday lets, writes Tom Chance
Community land trusts (CLTs) have been on the housing scene for over a decade. They first emerged in numbers in tourist honeypots - places where low wages and high housing demand create a housing crisis akin to that in central London. But while their growth and success has been steady, there is huge scope for the approach to further redress the negative side of tourism in these places.
