Ben Derbyshire suggests a few fresh policies for a more sustainabile and equitable built environment
I was recently invited to challenge the political parties promoting candidates to be the next London mayor with my view of the adopted London Plan and what the built environment professions need from the person elected to that position on May 6.
Despite really promising policy development in areas such as environmental quality, biodiversity, tall buildings, fire safety, retention of architects and not least carbon reductions, it is hard not to conclude that the London Plan really fails to tackle the crisis of housing supply, affordability and homelessness.
