The new government has recognised the urgency of the housing crisis, particularly the chronic shortage of affordable homes.

Its ambitious plan to drive growth and accelerate house building, by committing to 1.5 million new homes this parliament, underpinned by a ‘council housing revolution’, signals a clear direction of travel.
