New rules due to come in next year will require a professionalisation of the operation of heat networks and there are several things housing associations can do to ensure they are ready, writes Kris Kelliher
Wide scale heat networks regulation is on its way, and it’ll be here before you know it.
Many housing associations have well developed plans in place to ensure compliance when the time comes. But others appear unaware that they’ll need authorisation from Ofgem to continue to operate the heat networks serving their residents and that authorisation will impose significant new duties.
