Financial reporting season has barely come to an end for English registered providers but work on next year’s budget planning and financial forecast returns (FFRs) will have to start within weeks. Helen Routledge provides tips for improvement

The vast majority of registered providers are currently in the window between 30 June’s deadline for submission of their financial forecast return (FFR) and the start of preparation for next year’s budget. 

It therefore seems like the perfect time to reflect on what went well with this year’s FFR – a survey of financial information required by the regulator - and what could be improved on for next year.
