The housing crisis is too urgent to wait for politics, argues Geeta Nanda
If the local elections earlier this month are anything to go by, housing promises only to grow as a political issue as the general election later this year draws nearer.
Across the nation, candidates for mayoralties and local authorities alike looked to assure the voters that they share their concerns and ambitions regarding the state of the housing crisis and a vote for them is a vote to fix this.
It is encouraging that politicians of all parties recognise the issue that we as a nation face. The housing crisis is there for all to see and the need to tackle head on to help to enhance the future prospects and prosperity of millions up and down the UK, is also acknowledged across the political spectrum.
