They do say that it is all in the timing. If so, Mark Farmer and Mike De’Ath could not have timed the publication of their “blueprint for a housing-led industrial strategy” better.
Neither could they have chosen a better candidate to write their foreword than Nicholas Boys Smith, whose star is in the ascendent – a positive comet-trail of publications and appointments lying behind his stellar appointment to assemble the great and good who will create the new and as yet un-named national body to promote design excellence in planning.
