Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) housebuilders have always, and always will be an essential part of the housebuilding industry, and will play a pivotal role in the delivery of the new homes the UK desperately needs.
But with the challenges now facing the SME housebuilding industry, many are struggling to produce the output they once did. When you see the total number of SME housebuilders has decreased by 80% over the last 30 years, it becomes very apparent why we continue to face a housing crisis and fall short of our housing targets year on year.
