After months of speculation and weeks of campaigning, we have a new government promising transformative change and growth. And now with a recognition that housing will play a vital role in achieving that.

In the first week since the election we’ve seen the new Chancellor commit to 1.5m homes by the end of the parliament and the new Deputy PM and Housing Secretary reinstate housing targets and set out plans for planning reform and “greybelt” development.
