The Housing Ombudsman’s call for a long-term, depoliticised approach could help us join the dots between housing, health and welfare, writes Paul Hackett
There’s a lot packed into the Housing Ombudsman’s latest Spotlight Report. First and foremost, the report, entitled Relationship of Equals, is a challenge to social landlords to up their game when it comes to prioritising, delivering and tailoring services to residents with vulnerabilities.
It’s a timely intervention coming against the backdrop of the imminent introduction of Awaab’s Law and the regulator’s more resident-centric consumer standards.
