How the new government chooses to tackle the housing crisis remains to be seen - but the one thing we can say with certainty is that there will be change

The one constant with the planning system is change. Over the past decade, the thrust of those changes has been to try to tackle the housing crisis. 

Aided by the housing minister regenerating more often than Dr Who, and the desire of government to be seen to be doing something to address rising house prices, there has been a steady drip, drip of policy announcements that, at times, have seemed contradictory, counter-productive or confusing.
