BRE launches consultation on update to BREEAM sustainability assessments
New version will account for embodied carbon performance
The Building Research Establishment (BRE) is looking for industry views on a major update to its sustainability assessment method.
The seventh version of BREEAM will include measures to account for embodied carbon in performance assessments, intended to help building owners and developers make informed decisions about material use.
