Real estate investors’ body says ministers’ proposed five-year settlement would not support 1.5m homes target

A 10-year social housing rent settlement could attract an extra £20bn of private capital into affordable housing delivery, according to the British Property Federation (BPF).

The property investors membership body has backed social housing bodies in arguing for a 10-year settlement after 2026, rather than the five-year deal currently being proposed by ministers.
